Cyber Security Engineer (Endpoint)

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer (Endpoint) to provide comprehensive support for endpoint protection solutions. The role involves managing and maintaining various endpoint security tools, monitoring the IT security threat landscape, and providing technical assistance and consultancy to ensure robust cybersecurity measures. This position requires onsite presence and adherence to strict security protocols.

Responsibilities:

1. Endpoint Protection Support:
   • Provide support for endpoint protection solutions, including anti-malware, removable device control, Data Loss Prevention, disk wiping, and hard-drive encryption.
   • Manage the software lifecycle of endpoint protection tools, including release, testing, distribution, and maintenance.
2. Configuration and Guidelines:
   • Formulate and test settings for endpoint protection tools.
   • Develop installation, configuration, and user guidelines.
   • Ensure compliance with security measures, directives, and procedures for endpoint protection.
3. Threat Landscape Monitoring:
   • Monitor emerging IT security threats, particularly malware trends, and evaluate new security protection products.
4. Technical Assistance:
   • Provide advice and technical assistance to IT administrators and security officers.
   • Support security incident handling with analysis and resolution.
5. Documentation and Consultancy:
   • Update and maintain software settings and configuration guidelines.
   • Review and prepare documents for project deliverables.
   • Provide cybersecurity consultancy to projects, plans, and teams.
6. Coordination:
   • Coordinate with systems and network administrators to support security architecture requirements.
   • Work collaboratively to meet team objectives on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Extensive practical experience with antimalware security controls for at least 4 years.
  • Experience in maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting of antimalware products for at least 4 years.
  • Experience managing the lifecycle of antimalware products, including tracking releases, updating configurations, and leading change management processes.
• Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with expert rules editing and writing in antimalware solutions.
  • Practical hands-on experience in systems and tools administration in Windows environments.
  • Troubleshooting of Windows and Linux infrastructures.
  • Ability to develop documentation and configurations for antimalware products.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer and communication security principles, networking, and vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to articulate complex issues to various audiences and teams.
  • Demonstrable ability to work autonomously and proactively, following internal processes.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with specific antimalware products such as drive encryption, file and removable media protection, data loss prevention, and application control.
• Understanding of IT systems constraints in high-security environments.
• Experience with implementation projects in military or governmental organizations.

Practical Arrangements:

• The role requires full-time onsite presence in Mons, Belgium.
• Normal office conditions with no foreseen travel.
