AISB-368 Backend developer

We are seeking an experienced Back-End Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge web applications. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for the development, integration, and optimization of back-end systems to ensure smooth and scalable web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development of Back-End Applications: Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient back-end applications for web platforms.
• Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and create a seamless user experience.
• Core Business Logic: Implement and maintain core business logic to ensure efficient and reliable application functionality.
• Server & Database Creation: Create and manage servers and databases, ensuring effective data storage solutions.
• Security & Data Protection: Understand and implement security measures to protect user data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Optimization: Continuously optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability.
• API Development: Design and develop APIs for internal and external use.
• Software Design: Contribute to the design and development of scalable software systems.
• Project Leadership: Take the lead on projects when necessary, ensuring that the objectives are met and the code is of the highest quality.
• Code Integrity: Maintain high code standards and organizational integrity.
• Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Analyze data, processes, and codes to identify issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.
• Testing & Bug Fixing: Test applications, fix bugs, and ensure the functionality meets both technical and consumer needs.
• Documentation: Write clear technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Education

• EQF Level 6 qualification or equivalent.

Skills & Expertise

• Autonomous: Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong Organizational & Time-Management Skills: Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Multicultural Integration: Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment.
• Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills for team collaboration and documentation.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality, ensuring the reliability and performance of the code.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues.

Technology Expertise

• Proficient in programming languages used for back-end development (e.g., Java, Python, PHP, Ruby, Node.js, etc.).
• Experience with databases, data storage, and API development.
• Familiarity with security practices and data protection measures.
• Knowledge of application optimization techniques.
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git).

Requirements:

• EU Citizenship Required: Applicants must be citizens of an EU country. 
• Experience: Previous experience in back-end development or similar roles is highly desirable.
