We are looking for a Senior SysOps Engineer to join our Site Reliability Coordination (SRC) team and enhance the performance of our platform in a multi-vendor environment.
Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor technical incidents and analyze logs, metrics, and alerts.
- Correlate incidents across application, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
- Coordinate technical escalations with vendors and ensure SLA compliance.
- Contribute to postmortem analysis and propose continuous improvements.
- Maintain technical documentation and incident management runbooks.
- Participate in IT governance committees and recommend optimizations for incident handling.
Skills and Experience
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Linux, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
- Experience with middleware technologies (Kafka, JBoss, HAProxy) and databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Understanding of SRE principles, ITIL v4 processes, SLA, SLI, and SLO.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes of incidents.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to facilitate coordination between teams and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and proactively improve system performance.
- Resilience and efficiency in handling critical incidents.
Experience:
- 5 to 10 years in a similar role (SysOps, SRE, Incident Manager, Observability Engineer).
- Experience in high-availability and mission-critical environments.
- Relevant certifications (ITIL, Kubernetes, Cloud) are a plus.
Languages:
- Professional English is required.
- French or Dutch is a plus.
