About the Role
As a Data Administrator, you will be responsible for administering, monitoring, and securing data management systems to ensure optimal performance, integrity, and security. You will play a key role in troubleshooting database-related issues, maintaining high availability, and supporting teams with best practices.
Key Responsibilities
🚀 Database Administration & Optimization
- Oversee the design, consistency, and security of data management systems.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring availability and integrity.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve database incidents and performance issues.
- Apply industry standards for performance measurement and reporting.
🔍 Security & Compliance
- Ensure data security best practices across MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL environments.
- Manage and maintain clustered databases on Windows/Linux systems.
- Oversee network storage solutions and data access security.
📈 Training & Support
- Provide guidance, training, and support to teams on data management best practices.
- Develop and maintain database procedures and documentation for internal teams.
Your Skills & Experience
✔ Must-Have:
- Strong experience in (R)DBMS design, administration, and optimization.
- Expertise in MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL administration.
- Knowledge of cluster administration (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with network storage solutions.
➕ Certifications (At least two required):
- Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional/Master
- Oracle Certified Professional, MySQL 8.0 Database Administration
- Oracle Database 12c: RAC and Grid Infrastructure Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
- Administering Microsoft SQL Server
- MongoDB Professional Certification
- Any other recognized data platform certification
- ITIL certification is a plus
