DevOps Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a leading energy sector client on a Kubernetes migration project using Azure’s AKS.
About the Project:
Our client is in the process of migrating and rebuilding their tool stack on a managed Kubernetes service based on Azure Kubernetes Service. The tool stack includes Artifactory, Sonar, GitLab, GitLab Runner, and Mattermost, with infrastructure being provisioned as code (IaC). This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-impact project with a focus on automation, scalability, and modern cloud infrastructure.
Your Role:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be an integral part of this agile project, responsible for:
- Developing and documenting infrastructure architectures for tools according to customer requirements.
- Creating stories and implementing tasks based on agreed-upon architectures.
- Independently implementing tasks from the sprint board, defined by architects or service owners.
- Actively participating in agile project meetings (Daily standups, Design Team meetings, Review and Planning sessions).
- Documenting your implementations in Confluence for presentation and approval by the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and document tool infrastructure architectures based on client's requirements.
- Implement tasks from sprint boards, working closely with architects and service owners.
- Participate in and contribute to agile project meetings (daily, weekly, and bi-weekly).
- Ensure thorough documentation in Confluence to facilitate client approvals.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Languages: Fluent in both German and English.
- Kubernetes and HelmCharts for container orchestration and deployment.
- OpenTofu and ArgoCD for continuous delivery and infrastructure management.
- Strong experience with GitLab CI, Terraform, and Azure.
- Exceptional skills in documentation and infrastructure architecture.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Infrastructure as Code), and cloud solutions.
Additional Information:
- Remote work: 100% remote, with a possibility of onsite work in Hannover if preferred.
- Travel requirements: None, but flexibility for potential travel within Germany may be required.
