Android Software Design Engineer

ABAKUS TI SOLUTIONS is seeking an Android Software Design Engineer to support a high-profile project involving the development of advanced plugins for the ATAK (Android Tactical Assault Kit) platform. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Android development and ATAK to guide a team in creating cutting-edge solutions and navigating the USG’s Third Party Pipeline procedure for plugin validation. This position is ideal for a dynamic and experienced consultant passionate about enhancing operational capabilities through innovative software solutions.
Responsibilities :
- Train and mentor team members in developing Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Share expertise on the latest Android development practices and methodologies.
- Guide the team in creating ATAK plugins using the SDK provided by the US Government (USG).
- Assist with the validation and submission of plugins via the Third Party Pipeline procedure.
- Lead the plugin development team, ensuring high-quality and efficient workflows.
- Provide technical support and address challenges during the development process.
Requirements :
- Proven experience in Android application development with strong skills in Kotlin and Java.
- Familiarity with publishing applications on the Android Play Store.
- Mandatory experience with ATAK and proficiency with the TAK Dev Tool.
- A track record of publishing plugins in the TAK Product Center is a significant advantage.
- Strong command of professional English (both written and spoken).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
