DevSecOps Engineer

Our client is on the lookout for a seasoned DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in the groundbreaking Once Only Technical System (OOTS) project. This role is pivotal in ensuring our hybrid platforms are secure, reliable, and efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and enhance hybrid (on-prem & Cloud) platforms.
- Deliver secure and reliable platforms with a focus on Infrastructure as Code.
- Provide infrastructure and platform services to various operation units (e.g., Terraform).
- Adhere to Information Security policies and procedures (including NIST CSF 2.0).
- Ensure 24/7 service availability.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and workflows (GitLab & ArgoCD).
- Manage tickets in our system following ITIL best practices (Service Now).
- Develop and update the knowledge base for known issues.
- Support and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues.
- Notify users about downtime during business hours.
- Conduct incident response investigations to identify root causes and mitigate potential impacts.
- Offer standby support, including out-of-office-hours upgrades for production.
- Support and document automated build and configuration management processes.
- Ensure comprehensive monitoring of all systems and create dashboards for internal team use.
- Diagnose and propose solutions for issues observed in test/staging/production environments.
Profile:
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience in DevOps or as an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer).
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
- Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining robust and scalable infrastructure in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Proficiency in automated deployment and release management processes using tools like Terraform, GitLab, ARGO CD, and Kubernetes.
- Collaboration with development teams to integrate security considerations throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Conducting security assessments and reviews of software applications, identifying vulnerabilities, and providing remediation recommendations.
- Implementation and management of security monitoring and logging solutions to detect and respond to potential security threats and incidents.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems, SSH remote connections, and the Bash command line.
- Familiarity with public cloud services (e.g., AWS and Azure) is essential.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and security scanning tools.
- Good knowledge of Confluence and JIRA is recommended.
Languages:
- English is mandatory.
- Other European languages are a plus.
